A really special event came up around the time of Creative Sunday, and that was the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, and I wanted to commemorate that with a sort of badge design. This all started out with finding reference of the Apollo 11 ship and then outlining it to create a simple vector shape to build the design around. Then I played around with the badge shape and winded up with these leading lines up to a solid color for the overall badge shape and I added some rocket propulsion with some circle guides.

The simple badge was made, and I added some details of the retro stars, text, as well as some dust and scratch texture to make it fell older as well as the color scheme to bring the design together.
