With this project, I just wanted to mess around with gradients and some fun colors in Illustrator because it was a gloomy day outside. The circles were made utilizing a radial gradient with a drop shadow for depth, and the background was a linear gradient. The blobs in the background are made using multiple different blends. The base layer of the blobs are just linear gradients with a drop shadow on them to add some depth to the background. On top of that there is a black and white gradient going in the opposite direction of the original gradient with the screen blending mode to add some highlight to the edges. Next is a duplicate of the original base layer with the blending mode multiply to add some more depth overall. Then lastly is a layer utilizing the mesh feature in Illustrator. With this I am able to add colors specifically around the edges, that being white and transitioning to black for the rest of the mesh. Then the blending mode is overlay which adds some more vibrance to the blobs.
Lastly I added some more details with the use of patterns for some background depth and items more in the foreground. Then some gradient lines to add some more movement.
