After a hiatus of making things because of final projects in fall semester, then winter "break", and organizing the biggest event for the student group, Product Design Minnesota (PDMN), I wanted to make something for valentines day. I recently saw a mandala and thought that would be cool to do with hearts.
I made this in Photoshop because instead of setting up a bunch of guides in Illustrator, there is a symmetry function with the brush tool. And there is in fact a mandala symmetry option. Then it was super simple to use my Wacom tablet to draw smooth lines and have Photoshop do it's magic and mirror everything for me.
